Gateways of Abundance #32

These freestanding paintings were originally envisioned as a way to share my work with those who couldn't see the large paintings in person. In time they became a true force of their own. This is the first of the new name, along with a new thinner chassis which elongates the vision of the painting, making it seem taller in it's newfound thinning.

Development brings you from one manner of painting that you thought you would never need to change, unto new methods of making that you once denied, finding within them, new and exciting things that you later realize you should have changed it earlier. You gotta keep developing to see the beauty that you will be creating in the future. Available at Saatchi Art.

Tester #25

Right before I began making the new GOA freestanding paintings, I was in the process of making and calling them TESTERS. I changed the name to GOA after the 29th was completed. I felt that Gateways of Abundance is a much stronger title for this group of work than TESTERS which now seems elementary. Yet they were introduced as a way to introduce my paintings to a larger public, a way to get my paintings in more loving homes around the world.

I give you number 25 out of 29 TESTERS, this is the last of them to not have any yarn wrapping. Even though it's not the last wrapped freestanding painting I'll do, by far. I've got so much development to accomplish in just these small works alone that I'll happily be continuing to develop them far into my old age.

Unboxing Guerra Paint

Yesterday I received a nice box of paint from my favorite NYC Paint Store, GUERRA PAINT & PIGMENT. I normally just open the box and get to using the paint, but I felt this time I'd show it off to anyone that views it.

Enjoy and be sure to check out guerrapaint.com if you wish to check them out further.
